The Race |
| |
- October 20, 2007, 9AM at Rock Creek Park at Candy Cane City/Meadowbrook.
- The race benefits DTL - a county-wide (Montgomery County, MD) program that focuses on reducing adolescent access to alcohol and on promoting the message that underage drinking is illegal, unhealthy, and unacceptable. DTL combines education, activities, resources/support, and prevention.

- Print the registration form and mail to: The Family Support Center, c/o 5K Run, 4308 Montgomery Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814. Make checks payable to: The Family Support Center.
- Register online using Sign Me Up Sports.
- Race Day Registration - 7 - 8:30 AM at Meadowbrook Park facility.

Kids Fun Run |
| |
- Children under the age of 10 are welcome to participate in the DTL fun run. Each child will be awarded a finishers ribbon to commemorate their fun run experience!

- Friday, October 19th during business hours at Modell's Sporting Goods, 7201 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814.
- Race Day, October 20th starting at 7AM at Meadowbrook Park facility.

| The Course: |
| |
- The DTL 5K run will start behind the tennis courts at the Meadowbrook Park facility (7901 Meadowbrook Lane, Chevy Chase). Runners and walkers will move their way towards the path, following it around the stables onto Meadowbrook Drive. Runners will continue on the path towards Candy Cane City and eventually out to Beach Drive. Runners will turn around at the gate at W. Beach Drive. Participants will make their way back to the Meadowbrook Facility and will enter the park area using the foot path. The course will be clearly marked and fun for runners and walkers of all abilities.

| Safety Considerations |

- A water station will be set up at the turn around at West Beach Drive.
- No pets or strollers.
- Beach Drive is a low traffic area. Please use caution while running with traffic on the road. The DTL run will be clearly marked.

| Race Premiums |

- The first 200 pre-registered people receive a high quality 100% cotton t-shirt.
|
| Race Management |
| |
- Timing and scoring provided by the Montgomery County Road Runners Club. Unofficial race results will be posted at the race.
- Official race results will be posted on the MCRRC web site.

| Post Race Festivities |
| |
- There will be ample food, beverages, music, and a raffle with fabulous prizes following the race.
- Age group winners will be announced and awarded prizes at the post race festivities.

- Drawing The Line On Underage Alcohol Use (DTL) is a project of the Maryland Alcohol
and Drug Abuse Administration, Montgomery County Health and Human Services, and
Family Support Center. This county-wide program focuses on reducing adolescent
access to alcohol and on promoting the message that underage drinking is illegal,
unhealthy, and unacceptable. DTL combines education, activities, resources/support, and
prevention. All proceeds from the 5k will go toward expanding DTL to our neighboring
regions of Northern Virginia and Washington DC.

- From DC: Take 16th street north for approximately 5 miles. Turn Left on East West Highway and then turn left on to Meadowbrook Lane.
- From Maryland: Head south on Connecticut Avenue. Turn Right at East West Highway and then turn right onto Meadowbrook Lane.
- From Virginia: Take 495 North to the Connecticut Ave exit. Follow signs for Connecticut Ave south (towards DC). Turn right on East West Highway and then turn right onto Meadowbrook Lane.
